PANDAS and Autism:
60% of children with autism have PANDAS (Pediatric Neuropsychiatric Autoimmune Disorder Associated with Streptococcus) symptoms usually present abruptly and “dramatically” suddenly restrict their food intake, or have tics (involuntary movements without apparent purpose) OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), Anorexia / Rigidity to routine, Anxiety, Irritability, Self-harm or harm others, Uncontrolled emotions, Depression, Fear, Sleep problems.
